At HuHot, it’s all about the sauce. The Golden Ladle Sauce Search will award a winning flavor combination to be our next Sauce of the Season.
Consumers will choose from a variety of flavor profiles, including sweet, savory, spicy, bitter/sour and herbs, and submit their entry online at huhot.com/saucesearch. The entries will be reviewed by HuHot’s sauce development team and external vendor, who creates all of HuHot’s sauces. The top three (3) will be chosen and the first place winner will become a Sauce of the Season in 2025.
Golden Ladle Sauce Search entries will be judged on the following criteria: originality of flavors, variety and taste appeal of chosen flavors, creativity of recipe name, and ability to create the sauce.
NO PURCHASE OR ONLINE ENTRY NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN:
No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win this contest.
ELIGIBILITY:
You must be 18 years or older to submit your entry or obtain consent from a parent or legal guardian in order to be eligible. Must be a legal resident of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia. Employees, family members, officers and directors of HuHot Mongolian Grills, LLC ®, subsidiaries, franchisees or affiliates and the advertising or promotion agencies of each are not eligible to enter or win this Contest. Void in Puerto Rico, U.S. Territories and where prohibited by law.
TO ENTER:
The contest begins on April 1, 2024 and ends on April 30, 2024. To be considered for judging, visit www.huhot.com/saucesearch to choose sauce flavors and then finalize your entry form with 1) the sauce name, 2) sauce flavors, 3) sauce spice rating (called “flame rating”), 4) Entrant’s name, and 5) Entrant’s email address. Limit one (1) entry per person and one (1) Entrant name per entry.
When submitting a sauce online, first choose the flavors, and then click the “Submit Your Sauce” button. You will then have a chance to review your entry. Click “Submit Your Sauce” again to be taken to the submission form. Complete the form and click “Enter Contest.” There will be a “Thank You” page that confirms an entry has been received and submitted into a review process. The entrant will also receive a confirmation email acknowledging receipt of the recipe entry.
In lieu of an online submission, a recipe entry may be sent via snail mail. Mail the recipe submission to HuHot Mongolian Grills, LLC at 223 E. Main St., Missoula, MT, 59802.
Online entries must be submitted by 11:59 PM on April 30, 2024. All mail-in entries must be received by close of business on April 30, 2024.
All entries submitted become the property of Sponsor [HuHot]. Entries will not be acknowledged or returned. Multiple entries from the same Entrant and/or duplicate entries will be void. Sponsor is not responsible for entries that are lost, late, incomplete, altered, damaged, destroyed, ineligible, illegible, or misdirected. By entering the Contest, Entrants and Entrant’s Parent/Guardian agree to be bound by the Official Rules. By entering this contest, the Entrant consents to the use of his/her flavors; the Entrant agrees to have his/her name, photograph, and/or likeness used by HuHot Mongolian Grills, LLC in any and all media throughout the world in perpetuity without restrictions as to frequency and duration of usage. HuHot Mongolian Grills, LLC or its successor and assignees shall be the absolute owner of the sauce recipe and any and all broadcast or printed communication, website content, point-of-sale and other materials (and all rights therein, including copyright) produced by this submission. HuHot or its successor and assignees may use the Entrant’s recipe, name, photograph and/or likeness in any manner and with whatever copy it chooses, and may alter the above in such a manner they deem necessary. The Entrant is confirming there is no conflict of advertising or promotional commitments that would cause the submitter to be unable to enter into and duly perform the services, and grants the rights by this agreement that is binding to any and all heirs and next of kin, and personal representatives.
GUIDELINES:
Entries are being judged on the following criteria:
- Overall uniqueness and originality
- Has variety and an appealing flavor
- Creative sauce name that is appropriate and not offensive or derogatory
- Ability to create the sauce for all HuHot restaurants
All entries must be the original work of the Entrant. Any entries judged not to be original will be disqualified. Contest Judges’ decisions will be final.
Employees and families of employees of HuHot Mongolian Grills, LLC, are not eligible to enter or win.
PRIZE POSSIBILITIES:
There will be a total of three (3) winners from all entries. Judging will occur between May 1, 2024 and May 31, 2024. Winners will be announced on or about June 10, 2024.
The prizes, once accepted, will be:
- Free HuHot for a Year (one grill meal every week for 52 weeks) for the first place winner
- $100 HuHot gift cards for the second and third place winners.
WINNER SELECTION/JUDGING CRITERIA:
Impartial HuHot Mongolian Grills corporate employees and external vendor’s employees will determine the winners. Entries will be judged on the following equally weighted criteria: originality, variety and taste appeal, creativity of sauce name, and ability of recipe to be produced for all HuHot restaurants.
The decisions of the Contest Judges will be final and binding. Not every entry will win. Final winner will be announced on or about June 10, 2024.
WINNER NOTIFICATION/RELEASES:
Winners will be notified via email address provided in the entry by the Entrant on or before the above dates. The entrant must acknowledge winning so that the prize can be awarded to them. The entrant will have 3 days to accept prize after the email was sent. If the prize is not accepted within 3 days, the prize may be forfeited.
Prizes will be awarded to the Entrant, who will be required to complete and sign the prize announcement form confirming acceptance of the prize. Failure to timely return such documents may result in Entrant forfeiting any prize they may have been eligible to receive. Any prize or prize notification returned as undeliverable or refused will result in disqualification of Entrant; HuHot may name an alternate winner. By accepting a prize, the Entrant consents (where legal) to the use of the Entrant’s name, likeness, photograph, biographical information and statements by Entrant, subsidiaries, franchisees or affiliates for purposes of advertising, promotion and publicity without notice or compensation.
ODDS OF WINNING:
Odds of winning depend upon the number of entries received.
GENERAL:
Sponsor reserves the right to cancel this Contest without notice for any reason at its sole discretion. Acceptance of an offered prize by a Winner constitutes permission to use any of such person’s name, likeness, and biographical information for advertising and publicity, without compensation, unless prohibited by law.
DISCLAIMERS:
Under no circumstances, including negligence, shall the Sponsor be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages that result from the act of submitting an entry, or inability to do so, including due to any and all technical malfunctions for any reason whatsoever, or otherwise participating in any aspect of this Contest or out of any breach of any warranty. The Winner shall bear all risk of loss or damage to his/her prize after it has been delivered. The Sponsor makes no representation or warranties of any kind concerning the appearance, safety or performance of any prize. This exclusion or limitation of liability will not apply to the extent that any applicable statute prohibits such exclusion or limitation of liability.
